The Corporate Branding Award for Duopharma Biotech Berhad (DBB) is a recognition of its rebranding exercise after the demerger from Chemical Company Malaysia Berhad in 2019. DBB launched its new corporate website in 2022, which aimed to improve accessibility and usability for key stakeholders and create visibility for its ESG roadmap by announcing their climate pledge. The company’s objectives were to complete the final leg of the rebranding exercise and to ensure that all stakeholders could identify the new branding through its logo and website, featuring a modern identity and a streamlined source of information on the company. DBB’s target audience includes regulators, investors, media, healthcare professionals, job seekers, and consumers. DBB’s key narratives are affordability and access, innovation and quality, and integrity. The strategy was focused on transforming the website and driving the company’s ESG messaging, with a layout that addressed the brand narrative and the design language for the website. The new website articulated the brand’s ownership of its future plans and domains, investment in people, technology and process, stakeholder-centric engagement, investor narrative, and alignment with consumer behaviour. Finally, DBB’s branding initiatives include the announcement of their climate goals and the formalisation of a collaboration with a US-based food tech company to improve product sustainability.
